Interim Priest in Charge (up to 18 months), required for the benefices of Camborne, Tuckingmill and Penponds; and Crowan and Treslothan.
This unusual post has arisen in the light of the deanery and diocesan proposals for a future Resource Church based in Camborne under the banner of ‘Transforming Mission’ (see our current project in Falmouth: www.trurodiocese.org.uk/about-us/transforming-mission/). The interim priest will be able to apply for any of the resultant permanent posts.
The post-industrial environment of this part of Cornwall is both urban and rural, with some significant social needs. Ministry here will be to young and old, alongside ecumenical partners, and helping us to rise to the challenges of change. Our worship-styles cover a range from informal Café Church to traditional Anglo-Catholic services.
