Hoo St Werburgh is an open, inclusive and welcoming Parish committed to working closely with our community and neighbouring Parishes.
Although Hoo is a large rural parish, it is growing in size due to the many new housing developments taking place.
Hoo St Werburgh church is 13th century and has been re-ordered in the last few years with new lighting, under floor heating and chairs making a modern, warm, welcoming and versatile building which is used for many activities.
Our worship tradition is "middle of the road" with BCP Communion, Common Worship Communion, Morning Worship plus monthly Messy Church and twice monthly Children's Church. We have a small but regular congregation of various ages.
We are looking for a person who will lead us and help us to develop spiritually; someone who will lead and work closely with our experienced Ministry Team, PCC and members of our congregation and value their contribution to church life; someone who is willing to become part of the wider community and join in village life and will maintain and enhance our strong relationship with the local schools.
In return we offer an enthusiastic and experienced Ministry team; a strong lay involvement from the PCC and lay involvement at all levels of church life and a 4-bedroom house which is a few minutes walk from the church.
