New Street Church is a new, vibrant contemporary congregation of all ages, but focused on young people and families. It has been in existence for just 12 months and now meets every Sunday at 4.00pm in All Saints Church in Falmouth, with an all-age congregation of around 50-70 people

This is an exciting opportunity for an ordained leader with a passion for growing Christ’s church and the ability to share our vision and draw people to it. The Lead Minister will lead the next phase of growth of New Street Church and will work with a team comprising: Worship Minister, Youth and Student Leader, Children and Families’ Leader. There is also support in Admin and Communications and a gifted and enthusiastic team of lay and clergy colleagues.

The role requires:

  • A passion for Christ and the Gospel
  • The pioneering gifts necessary to lead a young and growing Church and to equip and release others into a wide range of ministries.

The role will include:

  • leading contemporary worship, preaching, pastoral care, discipleship, raising up vocations, engaging with and working to transform community and resourcing other churches in and around Falmouth.

The role offers:

  • the opportunity to work with a gifted and enthusiastic team
  • The opportunity to play a key role in the revitalisation of the church in Falmouth and beyond
  • The chance to work and live within a unique, vibrant and beautiful town

Remuneration and Support:

This role offers a package (Salary and Housing) equivalent to an incumbent stipend package within the diocese. A pleasant, modern 4-bedroom house is provided.

This is a full-time fixed term stipendiary role until 30th June 2023, however our hope is the role will become permanent dependant on the success of the Transforming Mission model. An enhanced DBS check will be required.
