As Digital Officer (A Church Near You), you will offer support and shape the work of 'A Church Near You', in service of the Digital Team’s priorities of: evangelism, discipleship and promotion of the common good.
You will be joining a multi-award winning Digital Team that has led on transforming the Church’s national websites that now receive 45 million page views per year; developed campaigns at Christmas, Lent and other key periods that engage millions; run training courses and provided digital resources that have enabled thousands of churches to get the most from the web and social media.
You will offer support and shape the work of 'A Church Near You' in service of the Digital Team’s priorities of: evangelism, discipleship and promotion of the common good.
You will grow the platform and see an increase in churches adopting their pages and the public using the site to find a local church, including for key Christian festivals and life events.
With help desk and customer service experience, you will have a confident and friendly telephone manner and proven experience of writing web copy and supporting the management of social media accounts. With excellent IT skills and a basic knowledge of project management tools, you will be confident promoting the Church of England in the digital public square.
