"We believe that knowing the difference
Jesus can make in people’s lives brings
such great value, freedom and joy.
We seek to both live that out and share it by being the church at the heart of our community."

A House for Duty or Self Supporting Priest is required for the Benefice of St Gerrans with St Anthony in Roseland (Portscatho) and St Philleigh situated on the beautiful Roseland Peninsula.

The priest needs to be someone who will:

  • be our spiritual guide and believes everything should be underpinned by prayer and Scriptures;
  • encourage church members to demonstrate God’s love in their actions and equip them in their ministry;
  • support a range of traditional and contemporary styles of worship and use them to bring people to Christ;
  • be a shepherd to our communities, who will act as an example and model the love of God;
  • be a compassionate leader who becomes known in the local communities and is able to reach out to multiple groups and individuals.

The closing date for applications is the 12th November at noon, interviews will be held on the 4th December and a parish visit on the 3rd Decemeber. This post will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. If you would like further information or an informal discussion about the post please email Archdeacon Paul Bryer – paul.bryer@truro.anglican.org.
