As part of a bid for Strategic Development funding, the Parish of East Greenwich has been identified as having clear missional energy, strong leadership and huge opportunities for growth. Funds has been awarded and we are seeking a full time visionary and pioneering minister to join the parish team with a focus on building church on Greenwich Peninsula to serve the fast growing new community. We are seeking a courageous and resilient person who will be a prophetic voice in this urban village setting. We are looking for someone who will work collaboratively within the innovative team ministry and who will be excited and energised about this challenging post. The postholder will be a good communicator who will be relevant and contextual in their engagement with the community seeking to grow a new worshipping community. The post is funded for an initial five year appointment.
Holy Trinity, Greenwich Peninsula is one of three churches in the East Greenwich Team Ministry and is located in a vibrant and diverse part of south east London in the exciting urban context of the Woolwich Episcopal Area of the Diocese of Southwark and the Archdeaconry of Lewisham and Greenwich. The overall population is around 25,000 and is likely to grow to nearer 60-70,000 over the next 15-20 years.
