We are looking for an energetic and creative person to be supporting the Project team in the implementation, and this is a post that will require a mix of good IT literacy and a high degree of patience and empathy with non-technical system users.The NCIs are in the process of introducing a consistent Project Management framework for use across the organisations. To ensure this is successful, a Project Support Office and a Chief Executive level Project Review Board are being established.

The Project Support Officer is responsible for providing high level administrative support to the Project Manager and delivering administrative support on projects as well as assisting with the development of Frequently Asked Questions as a knowledge base, and assisting with system testing. It will involve process analysis, production of process maps and recommendations for change to maximise use of the system as well as document management through version control and a single source of information for the Projects Board, Committee and relevant stakeholders.

The role will involve supporting the Project team in the implementation, and this is a post that will require a mix of good IT literacy and a high degree of patience and empathy with non-technical system users.

  • Supporting the Project Manager and other team members in the delivery of projects
  • Transcribing project interviews and meetings; writing board minutes
  • Maintaining RAID Logs
  • Organising meetings and events
  • Ad hoc distribution of research reports and briefings
  • Document Management (Version Control)
  • Updating content on the Project internal web site
  • Processing routine correspondence
  • To develop the FAQ knowledge base for the project, discussing the requirements for each team.
  • Identify ways in which processes may be improved and put forward such proposals for the project manager to consider.
  • Good soft coordination skills, with the ability to prioritise activities related to the project delivery.
  • Enthusiastic and positive, welcoming of change
  • Experience of managing and maintaining RAID logs.
  • Experience of collating and delivering weekly reporting cycles and management decks
  • A methodical approach to process; an aptitude for accuracy and attention to detail
  • An understanding of change management and how it can affect different people in different ways
  • Understanding and ability to communicate with stakeholders in the Church, Payroll and HR
  • Understanding of HR and Payroll systems a desire

As this is a role that will have engagement with our internal key stakeholders, soft-skills such as attitude, temperament and engagement will be skills highly valued.
